A Ghana Education Service (GES) staff is in a critical condition and needs about ¢42,000.00 for medical treatment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra.
The leadership of Past Akatsico Students Union (PASU) 2018 batch (SRC 2016/2017) is seeking an urgent financial support from the public, especially past students of Akatsi College of Education towards Mr. Oliver Fiagbenya’s medical treatment at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra.
Mr. Oliver Fiagbenya, a former student of the Akatsi College of Education (2015 -2018) was involved in a fatal motor accident (Head-on collision with a tricycle) on Sunday, 16th October, 2022 on the Adidome-Mafi Kumase road in the Central Tongu District of the Volta Region.
According to the Doctor’s report, one of his legs, ribs and spinal cord got fractured coupled with internal bleeding around the chest. There was also a severe head injury. These conditions demand urgent medical treatment.
He was admitted at the Adidome District Hospital immediately the accident occurred but was later referred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra for further examination and treatment.
The father Mr. Martin Fiagbenya confirmed that, the victim needs a provisional amount of GH₵42,000.00 for surgery aside other medical costs.
Mr. Oliver Fiagbenya is a teacher at the Dabala Comboni R/C Basic School in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region.
