The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has released the 2023/2024 Single Track Academic Calendar for Senior High Schools (SHS).
BREAKDOWN OF 2023/2024 SINGLE TRACK ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR SHS
SHS 3 SINGLE TRACK: 1st SEMESTER RE-OPENING DATE FOR 2023/2024 ACADEMIC YEAR
ACADEMIC YEAR CALENDAR FOR SHS THREE (3) SINGLE TRACK: FIRST SEMESTER
According to the released 2023/2024 academic year calendar, Form 3 single-track students will commence school on the 1st of November, 2023 through to the 5th of March, 2024.
SHS 3 SINGLE TRACK: 1st SEMESTER VACATION DATE
The vacation date for the SHS 3 Single-track students is scheduled to start from 5th March 2024 to 2nd May 2024.
SHS 3 SINGLE TRACK: 2nd SEMESTER RE-OPENING DATE FOR 2023/2024 ACADEMIC YEAR
School for SHS 3 students will be re-opened for the second semester on 3rd May 2024. All students are urged to take note and comply.

The vacation date for Single-track SHS 3 students is 28th August 2024.
SHS 2 SINGLE TRACK: 1st SEMESTER RE-OPENING DATE FOR 2023/2024 ACADEMIC YEAR
FIRST SEMESTER ACADEMIC YEAR CALENDAR FOR SHS (2) SINGLE-TRACK
According to the academic year calendar, SHS 2 Single-track students are to report on 1st November 2023.
SHS 2 SINGLE TRACK: 1st SEMESTER VACATION DATE
The vacation date for SHS 2 Single-track students is 5th March 2023. The vacation will start from 6th March 2024 through to 2nd May 2024.
SHS 2 SINGLE TRACK: 2nd SEMESTER RE-OPENING DATE FOR 2023/2024 ACADEMIC YEAR
The 2nd Semester date for reporting to school by Single-track SHS 2 students is 3rd May 2024.
SHS 2 SINGLE TRACK: 2nd SEMESTER VACATION DATE
The second Semester vacation for SHS 2 Single-track students is 28th August, 2024.
SHS 1 SINGLE TRACK: 1st SEMESTER RE-OPENING DATE FOR 2023/2024 ACADEMIC YEAR
ACADEMIC YEAR CALENDAR FOR SHS (1) SINGLE TRACK STUDENTS
SHS 1 Single track students are expected to report on 4th December, 2023 to commence their First (1st) Semester in the 2023/2024 academic year.
SHS 1 SINGLE TRACK: 1st SEMESTER VACATION DATE
The first (1st) Semester vacation date for SHS 1 Single track students will start on 16th March 2024 through to 2nd May 2024.
SHS 1 SINGLE TRACK: 2nd SEMESTER RE-OPENING DATE FOR 2023/2024 ACADEMIC YEAR
Students will report on 3rd May 2024 for the Second Semester of the 2023/2024 academic year.
SHS 1 SINGLE TRACK: 2nd SEMESTER VACATION DATE
The Second (2nd) Semester vacation date for SHS 1 Single track students will start on 28th August, 2024.
That marks the end of the academic year journey for 2023/2024. It simply means that the next academic year will kick-start in September 2024 (the old format for the academic year running before the distortion by the world pandemic, COVID-19).
