2023 BECE: 46 Top Performing Students Honored at President’s Independence Day Awards

On Friday 1st March, 2024, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was joined by the Deputy Minister for Education, Hon Rev Ntim Fordjour and the Director-General of GES, Dr Eric Nkansah for the President’s Independence Day Awards.

This year, forty-six (46) top-performing students from the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) were awarded by the President.

Out of this number, thirty-six(36) award winners were identified based on the criteria of best performance on the raw score obtained in the 2023 BECE for males and females in each Region including four (4) students with Special Needs.

Ten (10) students from various Private Schools across the country were also awarded.

GES commends the gallant teachers across the country for the vital role they play in nurturing our learners.

GES is grateful to NESTLE Ghana for their continuous support in making the President’s Independence Day Awards ceremony a success.
