22 GIJ Students make Rectors List as 16 others received scholarship
22 undergraduate students of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) have successfully made it onto the rector’s list in the institution.
The rector’s honour list is an award scheme instituted by GIJ in 2020 to award outstanding students who attain grade points average of 3.50 or better in an academic year.
The 22, comprises of 6 Diploma 2 students, 7 level 200 students, 1 level 300 student and 8 level 400.
Prof. Kwamena Kwansah-Aidoo, the Rector of the institution congratulated the students and admonished them to do even better to ensure that they continue to receive the prestigious recognition.
The event also saw 16 brilliant but needy students being awarded the GIJFUND Scholarship for the academic year. The awardees were encouraged to stay up the academic ladder to justify the institution’s investment.
