Abandoned Level 200 BSc Information Technology student, Evans Ababio needs financial assistance
A Level 200 BSc Information Technology student at Ghana Communication Technology University, Mr. Evans Kwesi Ababio needs financial assistance for his education.
Evans’ mother, Mercy Ababio is a single woman taking care of his son since birth in 1999 because the father (Evans’ biological father) denied responsibility for the pregnancy.
Evans completed his WASSCE and had impressive grades, applied to Ghana Communication Technology University, and was offered admission to read BSc Information Technology but the financial constraints have become an impediment to his education.
Madam Mercy (Evans’ biological mother) sells fried yam to support his son’s education. Due to her meager income, she struggled to get her son to university for Level 100. However, through the assistance of a schoolmate back in JHS who is now a Lecturer at the University for Development Studies, Nyankpala Campus, she managed to put some things together and got the son to school.

The Lecturer is calling on the general public to assist in raising funds to support Master Evans Ababio in order not to let his dream shatter.
The heart-sickening aspect of Evans’ struggle is that he was not allowed to write exams because he owed a lot of fees.
His mum has decided to let his son abandon the programme and the school that he has come to love. The challenges they are facing in the journey of Evans’ education are funds for his tuition, accommodation, feeding, and books.
The Lecturer and Evans’ mother are pleading for support/scholarship from all sectors to push Evans to light his dream candle.
