The former Deputy Minister of Education Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has announced a subsidized cost of cement for the people of his Constituency.

According to the MP, Constituents within his Constituency who fall under 40 years and all single mothers can purchase a bag of cement at a subsidized cost of GH¢35 only for a start. This means that, the MP will bear the cost of about GH¢19 per a bag of cement by the number of cement bags Constituents will purchase in his name since an average cost of a cement bag in the Ghanaian market is currently sold at GH¢54.

He also made public a hot line for interested persons to call the Subsidy Task Team Leader, JJ on 024 334 0362 for the necessary arrangements to purchase the subsidized cement.

This forms part of the MP’s North Tongu Subsidy Task Team established today 8th May, 2021 as a mechanism for offering support and easing the hardship burden of his beloved constituents.

According to some residents, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa’s announcement has met the light of the day and will relief them off economic hardship and suffering among others under the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) govermment led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

In statement Intercepted by Coverghana.com.gh the North Tongu Lawmaker said, “We all admit times are really hard and so while we justifiably pile pressure on Government to institute policies to reverse current economic hardships, many of us who can should in the interim reach out and offer a helping hand to fellow compatriots anytime it is within our means.”
