The former Deputy Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has commissioned and handed over a new 6-unit primary school classroom block to Battor Morklikpo, a village at the river overbank community.
The MP, on Wednesday, 7th April, 2021, handed over the completed project to the holy village of Battor Morklikpo in his beloved constituency to help eliminate schools-under-trees.
At a short ceremony to officially hand over the project, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said, for this current phase, the Battor Morklikpo school is one of some thirty (30) primary schools under construction in very hard to reach communities in his Constituency.
According to him, he is determined to totally eliminate the phenomenon of schools-under-trees and end the unacceptable spectacle of children walking long distances to access education within his beloved Constituency.
Mr. Ablakwa has reassured the people of North Tongu that, he will keep doing his best to remove all barriers to our children’s fundamental right to quality education in the Constituency.
