Achimota School celebrates Tyrone Marhguy for winning American International Olympiad Award 2023

Achimota School has taken a bold step to celebrate Tyrone Marhguy, the Rastafarian at the centre of the “deadlock for admission” saga in 2021 for winning the American International Olympiad Award 2023.
The school despite public lashing because they denied Tyrone Marhguy admission from the onset but, due to court order, they admitted peaceful has now celebrated his success.
With joyous-filled words, Achimota School in a public statement said
“He DID IT AGAIN!!!! Congratulations Akora Tyrone Marhguy
He has earned two awards from the American Mathematics Olympiad 2023 for his outstanding achievements in Grade 12.
Marhguy was crowned the 2023 overall national top scorer, earning the Gold medal, after competing with over 150,000 students across the globe.
He was also awarded the Vanda Science International Olympiad in the Silver category out of 38,000 test-takers.
He has officially been inducted into the International Junior Honour Society, 2023.”
