Akufo-Addo commissions €37.6 million Upper East water supply project

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commissioned the Upper East Water Supply Project on Friday, August 5, 2022.

The Upper East Water Supply System is expected to provide the people of Bolgatanga, Navrongo, Paga and it’s environs with twenty thousand, five hundred cubic meters of water per day.

The project which commenced in 2018 is said to have cost a total of €37.6 million.

The total amount of water being produced by the system is three-fold increase from the 1.5 million gallons a day originally available to the Region.

The project would be serving an estimated total of three hundred and forty-seven thousand, four hundred and forty-six people.

The Upper East Water Supply Project will also be serving the people of Zuarungu, Zarre, Sumbrungu, Kalbeo, Gambibigo, Winkogo, Bongo, Yorogo, Pungu and Akomkongu.
