Bank of Ghana cautions the public on lending from 19 unlicensed institutions

Ghana’s Central Bank, Bank of Ghana (BoG) in a notice has advised the general public to be careful with taking loans from unlicensed financial institutions.
In the release, the Bank of Ghana (BoG) said they have observed that some banks are giving loans to Ghanaians without following the right procedure which will warrant their lawful operation in the country.
The unlicensed entities are operating on the blind side of the Central Bank’s Specialised Deposit-Taking Institution Act, 2016 (Act 930).
BoG per their checks disclosed that the said entities employ the work of mobile apps in their operations including social media in carrying out their businesses.

3. Zidisha Online Loans.
4. Ghana Lending Application.
5. ChasteLoan Application.
6. LoanClub Ghana Instant Loan.
7. Adamfopa Loan
8. MetaLending Instant Cash Loan.
9. Wohiasika Loan (Ghanalen.net).
10. Boseafie-Bosea Micro-Credit.
11. SikaKasa Online Lending.
12. LoanPro-digital and instant loan.
13. SikaWura Loan Application.
14. BegyeBosea Loan
15. LendingPapa-Online Loans.
16. CrestCash Loan.
17. Credxter-Loans and Hire-Purchase.
18. MobiLoan Application.
19. Cedi Now- Cash Loans Application.
BoG assured the public that they are taking the right steps to deal with such institutions therefore they advise the general populace to stay away from the listed unlicensed/illegal loan providers.
