Mr. Kofi Asare of EDUWATCH has called on H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo to instruct the Managing Director of ECG to publish a reliable power schedule timetable for Ghanaians.

For weeks now, Accra has been experiencing dumsor but the government earlier said the nation is not experiencing anything close to that.

Both the Energy Ministry and the ECG have denied “dumsor” claims. As such, they insisted that there was no need for a timetable.

On Joy FM’s Super Morning Show on March 26, he expressed himself on the topic in an uncalled-for manner which translates to insults and lacking respect for the people (electorates).

On the show, he stated further “Let those who want the timetable bring it.”

“I don’t know of any timetable because the ECG has said it is not necessary. Why would someone just wish evil for the country?” he asked.

April 2024 is filled with dumsor now. Ghanaians are complaining about dumsor and the government is sitting idle and waiting for the “right time” to commence the campaign for the 2024 General Elections without paying attention to the power crisis at hand.

Expressing himself (Kofi Asare) on the topic of dumor on social media, he addressed his cry with deep words

Dear Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo,

There is nothing good about the morning after swimming in another bout of sweat all night, when ECG is rather owing me.

Even the kids know we are in Dumsor, as they’ve been sleeping in sweat and darkness for months.

Be bold and publish a time table. The harm is already caused to our trust in you as a competent manager of our energy sector.

You have messed up our energy sector finances big time, after accusing your predecessor of same.

I am very disappointed in you!

Please, instruct the ECG MD you appointed to publish the time table; and fire him after for lying to the public.

We know you don’t condone lies. Fire him as a reminder to all of us.

Wama atamfo anya me.”
