The Former President of Ghana, leader and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) H.E John Dramani Mahama, has urged the parliament of Ghana to be transparent with regards to cases of Covid-19.
He made the statements in connection with allegations circulating on social media that, two (2) members of Parliament and some thirteen (13) Parliamentary staff test positive of Coronavirus which was later disproved by the parliamentary service after mass testing of member of Parliament and Parliamentary staff was directed by the speaker of Parliament.

The former president expressed worry and felt disappointed in the house of record because, the parliament of Ghana is to serve as an example to the people of Ghana and keep hope in the citizens but unfortunately, the house is acting contrarily.
He again added that, communications should be done by the house as and when coronavirus cases are recorded in the house.
Mr. Mahama also advised the government to allocate some funds to people who have lost their homes due to stigmatization. The former president also insisted, public education on covid-19 has decreased so, the government should revisit it and intensify education on the novel coronavirus pandemic.
