Bill Gates and wife Give $70m to the Development of Covid-19 Vaccine for low & middle-income countries

American Billonnare and business magnate William Henry Gates and his wife Melinda Gates have donated an amount of $70 million to the development of a vaccine for Covid-19.

The renowned software developer and his wife yesterday 12th November, 2020 committed an amount of $70million to global efforts to develop and distribute safe, affordable and timely vaccines for low- and middle-income countries.

Confirming the dedication of the $70million to the ‘gates foundation’, the Chief Executive Officer of the gates foundation Mark Suzman in a tweet wrote;

“Ending this pandemic will require the largest public health effort in history & much more funding. So, today @gatesfoundation is committing another $70million to global efforts to develop & distribute safe, affordable, & timely vaccines for low- & middle-income countries.”

In a retweet of Mark Suzman’s Tweet, Melinda Gates also wrote;

“No one is safe from COVID-19 until everyone is safe. We started the foundation because we believe every person deserves the chance to live a healthy and productive life. In this global crisis, that means people everywhere should have access to a safe vaccine when it’s available.”
