Biography of Prof. Daniel Agyapong
Prof. Daniel Agyapong is the current (2024) Director of the Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance at UCC since August 2022. He is also a member of the University of Cape Coast Interdenominational Church (UIC).
Background/Birth of Prof. Daniel Agyapong
Prof. Daniel Agyapong was born in the year 1974 in the Western Region of Ghana.
He hails from Sefwi Anhiawso in the Western North Region of Ghana.

Prof. Daniel Agyapong
is an alumnus of Suhum Secondary Technical School (SUTESCO).
He gained admission to further his education at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) in the year 1999.
He pursued a 2-year Master of Philosophy in Business Administration (Finance) at the University of Ghana in 2005 and completed it in 2007.
Prof. Daniel Agyapong is a holder of PhD in Business Administration (Finance) from Open University Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) in 2015.
Professional career of Prof. Daniel Agyapong
In 2004, Prof. Daniel Agyapong was
employed at UCC as a Senior Research Assistant and rose to the rank of Principal Research Assistant.
In 2009, he was appointed as a lecturer at the same university, UCC.
In 2023, he was promoted to the rank of Senior Lecturer.
In 2017, he became an Associate Professor.
In February 2021, Prof. Agyapong was promoted to a full-fledged Professor in Finance and Entrepreneurship.

Publications
Prof. Agyapong published extensively with over 70 research outputs, focusing on Conventional Finance and Small and Medium Enterprise financing.

Prof. Agyapong delivered an inaugural lecture on the topic: “Entrepreneurship and Small Enterprises’ Development Night Journey: The Road Monsters. Fairies, and Angels,” on Thursday, 1 February 2024.
