Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko, one the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential candidates has withdrawn from the party’s run-off, citing series of issues.

He withdrawn from Saturday 2nd September, 2023 run-off between him and Hon. Addai Nimo to determine 5th position.

In a statement, the camp of Hon. Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko has reacted to the resolution by National council of the party.

The resolution says ONLY National Council members will vote in the run off. In effect, about 135 National Council members will vote on behalf of the 955 delegates who voted in the first round.

The camp of Hon. Boakye Agyarko finds the resolution by National Council unconstitutional and illegal,  and therefore we have decided to refrain from the run-off.

Attached is the full statement on his decision.
