Boy who “could not write his name properly” graduates with Ph.D. in Mathematics and Statistics

A Ghanaian hardworking and dedicated man accounts for his journey to success starting from his basic school days in Lambussie LA Primary School.

Dr. I.B Nabubie who hails from the Upper West Region of Ghana has bagged his PhD in Mathematics and Statistics specializing in Financial Mathematics from Curtin University, Australia.

According to an appreciation post made by Dr. I.B Nabubie, he started his basic school at Lambussie LA Primary School and completed as the first batch of Lambussie Junior Secondary School.

He accounted that he couldn’t write his name properly upon completing the Junior Secondary School (JSS) based on that, he returned to repeat Primary 6 at 5th Battalion Primary School in Burma Camp and remained committed to his education despite all odds, has obtained a PhD.

“Today, through diligent effort, determination, resilience, and prayers, he has graduated with a Ph.D. in Mathematics and Statistics, specialising in Financial Mathematics, from Curtin University in Australia.

“The journey towards obtaining this Ph.D. has been a profoundly humbling experience and he extends heartfelt gratitude to all those who have supported him throughout this endeavour, particularly his wife, Dr. Mrs. Esther Nabubie,” Dr. I.B. extended his heartfelt gratitude.
