Kofi Bentsi Bentil has described bye-elections as wasteful rancorous dangerous and of negative overall value.
He made this known in a Facebook post, where he suggested that, the constitution be amended to allow the political party to which a removed Member of Parliament belong, appoints a replacement.
His comment is coming at the back of a Court ruling, preventing the Assin North Member of Parliament, Hon James Gyakye Quayson from holding himself as an MP.
The Supreme Court had earlier directed the Electoral Commission to organize a bye-election for the Assin North Constituency.
Kofi Bentil further added that, till the Constitution is amended to reflect this, political parties can agree not to contest so that the country can save money and stress.
