Central Regional Education Directorate organizes music and band festival for SHSs

Central High School Band and Music Festival

The Central Regional Education Directorate has introduced a transformative initiative dubbed ‘’Central High School Band and Music Festival’’.

The objective of the programme is to unearth and nurture musical talent that can provide students with a sense of personal satisfaction and fulfilment. Again, it seeks to foster healthy and progressive relationships among the Central Region Schools.

In attendance were Directors of Education, Heads of Senior High Schools, and other dignitaries who graced the occasion.

The initiative was a perfect place for students to gain exposure, practice their craft, and share their passion for music with others.

INITIATIVE COMMENCEMENT DATE

The maiden edition was held on Saturday, 23rd September 2023 at the Cape Coast Stadium. It was under the theme: ‘’Strengthening Bonds Among Students’’.

The participating schools had the opportunity to exhibit their skills in the stipulated categories, namely, dance band, regimental band, and brass band.

The dance bands that participated are as follows:
