December Polls: President Akufo-Addo is missing on social media engagements

The Factchecks conducted by Coverghana Media Network (Coverghana.com.gh) revealed that, the President of the Republic of Ghana H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has suddenly got missing on social media.
Prior to the December 2020 general elections, the Flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was very active on social media untill the close of polls.

Our Factchecks proofed that, the president has constantly updated Ghanaians through his Official Facebook Page “Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo” and his Official Twitter account “Nana Akufo-Addo” by ways of calling on eligible voters to cast their votes in favour of him.
Our detailed checks indicate that, the President made a total of forty (40) posts within three days towards the electioneering processes. The posts have widely received engagements from Ghanaians across board.
Out of the 40 posts, nineteen (19) posts were made on Saturday, 5th December, 2020, six (6) posts were made on Sunday, 6th December, 2020 and fifteen (15) posts were made on election day, Monday, 7th December, 2020.

Our research also revealed that, the last post made by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was on 7th December, 2020 at exactly 7:00pm. The post reads, “Remain vigilant at all stages of the counting process. Let us protect the ballot. #StayVigilant #4MoreForNana”
Our observations disclosed that, the president since then has not made a single post on both social media handles.

Some Ghanaians upon realizing that expressed worry why the president who was very active on social media has suddenly gotten missen on election related matters meanwhile his main opponent in the election Mr. John Dramani Mahama has since made four (4) posts on election procedures.
It’s unclear why the president has remained silence but some Ghanaians believe that, his posture was as a result of defeat in the December 2020 polls to Mr. John Dramani Mahama. Meanwhile, others described the president’s demeanor as maturity and good leadership attitude.
