The member of Parliament for the South Dayi constituency Hon. Rockson Nelson Etse Dafeamekpor has called on President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo to declare national mourning for the victims of the Appiatse explosion.
The Western Region town of Appiatse was destroyed after a vehicle carrying explosives got involved in an accident and the explosives ignited destroying the entire township.
In a post on his official Twitter handle, Hon. Rockson Nelson Etse Dafeamekpor stat d that the President of the land must declare declare 3days of National Mourning.
I’m a tweet, the South Dayi lawmaker said “In the matter of the Bawdie-Bogoso explosion disaster, the Prez must as a matter of urgency, declare 3days of National Mourning. Details filtering through suggest that this is a totally avoidable tragedy. A whole community has been completely wiped out just like that. So so sad”
