Dr. Bawumia commissions over $131m facilities and vehicles to further boost TVET

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has commissioned over $131m facilities and vehicles to further boost Technical and Vocational  Education Training (TVET) across the whole geographical areas of Ghana.

As part of making Ghana a world-class centre for skills development motive of the sitting government towards TVET, Dr. Bawumia cut the sod for the construction of 32 Technical and Vocational  Education Training (TVET) facilities across the country yesterday, June 6, 2022.

According to the Vice President, the facilities included a state-of-the-art TVET Service Headquarters as well as the Applied Technology Institute, which contains classroom blocks, ICT centres, administration blocks, workshops, male and female dormitories, and installation of workshop equipment,” he specified.

He further added that the fleet of vehicles included  37 buses, 21 double cabin pickups, 2 tractors, 3 Toyota Fortuners and 1 Toyota V8 Landcruiser, in addition to 26 Computer Based Training occupational standards developed in the various trade areas.
