Dr. Bawumia cuts sod for construction of 32 TVET facilities

The Vice President of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has cut sod for the construction of 32 TVET facilities across the country.
On the 6th day of June, 2022, Veep Bawumia cut the sod to begin the construction of Phase One of 32 State of Art Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) facilities.
According to Dr. Bawumia, the motive behind building the facilities across the country is to achieve his government’s goal of making Ghana a world-class centre for skills development and also make skills acquisition aspirational for all Ghanaians.
However, all the sixteen (16) regions in the country will be allocated two (2) of the facilities (centres) each making a total of 32.
Concurrently, he said, the project will help increase access to technical and vocational education, as well as provide opportunities for skills acquisition and upgrading for practicing artisans in order to meet the country’s development needs, especially the demands of industry.
