Facts on alleged teachers proposed uniform revealed

Teachers in uniform
Social media earlier this week saw pictures of a supposed teachers’ uniform circulating. Many were of the view that, the initiative was a government’s own with the intention of providing teachers with uniforms.
Many were those who believed the initiative was a nice one and threw their support behind their idea whiles others were of the view that, a uniform for teachers is needless.
It has rather turned out that, the initiative was a self initiated one by a section of teachers in the Ahafo Ano North District.
Sources have it that, teachers of Tepa Methodist Basic School and Akwasiase Methodist Primary School, all in the Ahafo Ano North District initiated the teacher uniform project.
The public, trying to criticize the initiative has suggested that, if the government ever considers introducing such an initiative, it should consider paying uniform allowance to teachers.
One Sylvia Yeboah, who is believed to be a teacher in the Tepa Methodist Basic School took to her Facebook page to indicate that, they sew the uniform themselves and called on the general public to disregard any claim that the Ghana Education Service (GES) is introducing uniform for teachers.
