First Lady donates hospital beds to Komfo Anokye and Kumasi South Hospitals

The First Lady of the Republic of Ghana Her Excellency Rebecca Akufo-Addo has donated hospital beds to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and Kumasi South Hospital.

The First Lady through her Foundation has donated hospital beds to the Hospitals in the Ashanti Region to support healthcare delivery.

Earlier, the Foundation has donated hospital beds to the Korle – Bu Teaching Hospital, Ridge and the 37 Military Hospitals to help increase the capacity of these facilities to manage intake of COVID-19 patients.

Hon Osei Assibey the mayor of Kumasi made the donation on behalf of the Rebecca Foundation.

Dr Oheneba Owusu Danso, the Chief Executive Officer of Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital, received the beds on behalf of the health facilities.

He admonished the public to continue to observe the COVID-19 protocols.
