Israel Laryea, a Ghanaian broadcast journalist has indicated that, fuel prices are going up all over the world and must not be politicized.
In a statement intercepted by Coverghana.com.gh, the news editor and anchor, with the Multimedia Group Ltd stated that, the impact of hike in fuel price is felt more in Ghana because of the depreciating of the Cedi.
Ghana’s average fuel prices from January to November 2021 hits 36.46%
“It’s true fuel prices are going up all over the world, except the impact is felt more in Ghana where the Cedi is also depreciating” he stated.
Laryea further made it known that, governments cannot control the global shock but can only minimize it through prudent management. He further advised that, Ghanaians stop politicizing the hike in fuel price for the sake of power.
