GES calls on Teacher Kwadzo to submit petition for reinstatement consideration
The new management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has encouraged Mr. Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Teacher Kwadzo, to submit a formal petition in writing for reinstatement consideration.

The development came after GES served a disclaimer to a fake trending news on his reinstatement into the Service. GES in the official public post dated August 27, 2025, has denied reports of reinstating Teacher Kwadwo, but has extended an invitation to him to submit a formal petition if he believes his dismissal was unjust.
According to the release signed by Daniel Fenyi, the GES PRO, Teacher Kwadwo can submit a written petition for due consideration if he contests his 2021 dismissal.

The attention of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has been drawn to reports circulating in sections of the media suggesting that Mr. Michael Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Teacher Kwadwo, has been reinstated into the Service.
The Ghana Education Service wishes to state that the report is false. Mr. Owusu Afriyie has not been reinstated.
However, if Mr. Owusu Afriyie believes that his dismissal, which happened in 2021, is contestable, he is encouraged to submit a formal petition in writing for due consideration.
The public is hereby advised to disregard the false reports.
