The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the commencement of an internal investigation into the untimely death of a first-year student at Aburi Girls’ Senior High School. GES is also actively collaborating with law enforcement agencies to ensure an independent investigation into the matter.
Reports from the school indicated that the deceased, Stacey Okyere had been experiencing intense stomach pains before her unfortunate demise on Monday, February 5, 2024. Disturbingly, it is alleged that the school nurse denied her medical attention, accusing her of repeatedly feigning illness.
