GES reviews 2021 National Standardised Test

Management of the Ghana Education Service GES met with the Director-General Prof. Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa and Assessment team of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment ( NaCCA) to review the results of the  2021 National Standardised Test (NST) conducted for Primary 4 students.

The meeting was held purpose to review and to address some challenges that confronted both Agencies so they do not reoccur in the 2022 edition.

Average scores per various Regions/Districts in both English and maths were critically assessed to know the Districts or Regions that fell below the proficiency level.

The two Director -General’s who were present, Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa of GES and Professor Edward  Appiah of NaCCA pledged their commitment to ensure this year’s NST is conducted without hitches.

They both proposed the formation of a Technical Committee to plan this years test which will include Primary 2 as well.

Present  also at the Review meeting was the Deputy Director-General ( Q&A), Dr Kwabena Bempah Tandoh.
