GES to conduct Staff Audit in Pre-tertiary Education Institutions in Volta Region

Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced its planned exercise of conducting Staff Audit in Pre-tertiary Education Institutions in the Volta Region.

According to a letter signed by the Volta Regional Director, Francis Yaw Agbemadi dated 3rd October 2023, stated that as a result of some salary irregularities detected from the Ghana Education Service payroll, Management wishes to direct the Regional Internal Auditor to conduct Payroll Audit in the Municipal/District Directorate.

According to the letter, the programme will start from Monday 9th October to 20th October 2023.

The audit is scheduled to be conducted in the various circuit centres within each Municipal/District Directorate.

The exercise as ordered will help rectify the detected irregularities in the Ghana Education Service payroll.
