GFA blocks Saddick Adams on “X” ahead of Save Ghana demonstration

The Ghana FA has blocked the top-tier Ghanaian Journalist, Saddick Adams on “X” formerly known as Twitter.
Saddick Adams, the conveyor of the “Save Ghana Demo” was blocked on “X” without any justification from Ghana FA.
In a post made by Saddick Adams, on February 7, 2024, he said
“Dear my brother Kurt E. S. Okraku and Henry Asante, by principle, I’ve never been offensive or abused or even tagged the GFA in any post. As a sports journalist, I follow my country’s football just to access information.”
“Whoever is in charge of your official account that has blocked me, without any justification, thank you very much.”

The news shocked the spine of many Ghanaian sports enthusiasts.
Earlier, Saddick Adams led a group of sports journalists on Wednesday, 31st January 2024 to secure a police permit for a peaceful demonstration which is set to happen on Wednesday, 14th February 2024.
This demonstration according to the organisers is to highlight and address the decline in the performance of Ghana football and the beauty it has held for decades. Also, the demo is to create awareness among the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Sports Ministry about the drastic decline in the entire makeup of Ghana sports.
Almost every sector of the Ghanaian football is suffering. The passion for football as it used to be has declined. The organisers have taken a great step in the right direction to restore the love for football.

Talking about the nature and intention behind the demonstration, Saddick Adams poured that. “It is just a peaceful walk to present a petition to show how well we love this sport. Football is one of the passions of the nation, and we can’t sit and watch it die. If football dies, the nation also dies; there’s no hate or anger, as the anger is even a positive one.”
