Founder of the Danquah Institute and a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Otchere Darko has reacted to the press conference held yesterday by the opposition National Democratic Congress.

In his reaction, the Gabby argued that the NDC doesn’t get it because many Ghanaians are loosing their jobs in hotels, restaurants among others because of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus diseases and yet, the National Democratic Congress thinks what is important is fake conspiracy to rig the 2020 polls.

Yesterday, the National Democratic Congress held a press conference in which the party chairman Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo alleged that the New Patriotic Party and the Electoral Commissionplans to rig the upcoming 2020 elections.

The plans, the National Chairman of the party, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo believes, were to rig the elections in favour of the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

He explained that the decision by the Electoral Commission to use only Ghana Card and passport as the only required documents to get registered as a voter in the country was a calculated plan by the Akufo-Addo administration to rig the upcoming elections.

He said President Akufo-Addo is “not concerned about the future of Ghana, its peace, stability and the survival of democracy”, adding that “Having failed to deliver on his promises to the people of this country, and seeing defeat staring glaringly at him, he in conjunction with the Jean Mensa-led EC and the Ken Attafuah-led NIA are desperately scheming to rig the 2020 general elections and hold on to power at all cost,” Mr Ampofo added.

I’m not sure NDC gets it. Ghanaians are losing their jobs, in hotels, restaurants  etc, because of Covid-19. Yet, the NDC thinks what is important is fake conspiracy to rig the 2020 polls.
