Ghost Names: List of six deceased teachers who were validated and paid unearned salaries for over a year

Ghana Education Service (GES) has reported on having six (6) ghost names that have been validated to receive salaries for over a year in the Ashanti Region. One (1) ghost name per the report has been paid 31 months salary.
According to the letter signed and released on May 21, 2024, by the Ag. Director (HRMD) Ms. Angela Frimpomaa GES requested that the Regional Director should contact the Head of the school and School Improvement Support Officer (SISO), through their District Directors to report to the Deputy Director-General (MS) for their response.
From the release on the subject matter from GES, unknown persons received unearned salaries in the name of six (6) deceased staff. In the name of Boamah Emmanuel K, 31 months’ salaries were validated and received.
