The government has been urged by the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) to support the nation’s educators by providing them with the tools and incentives they require to carry out their duties.
A shortage of resources prevents many teachers from teaching, according to Dagbandow Kwame, the Deputy General Secretary of GNAT. He emphasized the significance of equally allocating resources to all locations and gathering information to more effectively manage teacher deployment.
The Deputy General Secretary of GNAT commended JoyNews for their “School of Shame” documentary, which raised awareness of impoverished schools.  also, he credited the broadcast for inspiring furniture donations. He also suggested holding leadership workshops to help teachers hone their leadership abilities and increasing the National Teachers Prize to honour achievements made by teachers at the district level.
The General Secretary emphasized the value of offering extra rewards to instructors in order to inspire them and raise productivity. He suggested that parents enroll their children in public schools because some of them have tuition rates that are comparable to those of private institutions.
He demanded that the school governance system be reviewed in order to guarantee the success of both instructors and students.
