GNAT Local Elections: All you need to know about South Tongu conferences

The South Tongu District Branch of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has outlined a detailed activities including dates and positions for the upcoming Conferences across the five Locals in the District.

This was announced soon after nomination has been opened for accredited members of the Association to file for their respective positions.

The Confirmed dates and positions announced for the five Locals thus; Sogakofe, Larve, Danyikpo, Dabala and Tefle-Agave are as follow:

SOGAKOFE LOCAL

The Sogakofe local will be the first to have its conference on 18th February, 2021.

Dabala local has scheduled 19th February, 2021 to hold its conference to elect new executive officers.

Meanwhile the date for the District level conference is yet to be announced. But information available to Coverghana.com.gh suggests that, the District will organize its conference soon after the locals are done.

According to GNATEC, a body responsible for conducting elections in this year’s Conference, any interested member of the Association who wants to contest for a local position must first filed a nomination and prepare for vetting at each local level.
