GES grants SHS/SHTS students permission to participate in 4-day limited voter registration exercise

Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has granted permission to Senior High/Senior High Technical Schools (SHS/SHTS) students who have attained 18 and above to go home and partake in the limited voter registration exercise.
This official notice was signed by Mr. Prince C. Agyemang-Duah, AG. Director, Schools and Instructions Division.
The exercise is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, and end on Monday, May 27, 2024.
According to the Electoral Commission (EC), the exercise will be conducted at its district offices and in difficult-to-access electoral areas across the country.
The students have been granted four days off from campus, effective Tuesday, May 7, 2024 to Friday, May 10, 2024 to partake in the exercise in line with the constitutional right of all Ghanaian citizens to exercise their franchise.
GES in their notice has directed all Regional Directors to communicate this information to all Heads of SHS/SHTS within their jurisdiction for compliance.
