If Mahama and NDC explain the “24hr-Hour Economy policy well Ghanaians will vote for them massively -NPP MP
Hon. Vincent Ekow Assafuah, MP for Old Tafo Constituency
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Old Tafo Constituency, Hon. Vincent Ekow Assafuah, confirms that John Mahama’s 24-hour Economy policy is an incredible idea to help the Ghanaian economy.
His compliment was disclosed on TV3’s New Day where he (Hon. Vincent Ekow Assafuah), Edem Agbana (NDC Parliamentary Candidate, North Ketu), Bernard Mornah (Former Chairman for People’s National Convention), and Hon. Vincent Ekow Assafuah (MP, Old Tafo Constituency) were guests for the show.
Speaking on the show, #Big Issue today, 22nd November 2023 hosted by Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku, Hon. Vincent Ekow Assafuah also spoke at length about the policy John Mahama sets to roll if he wins the 2024 general election.
Hon. Vincent Ekow Assafuah on the show said the 24-hour economy policy by their opponent, NDC is a great policy but then it is an active plan on the ground by his party, NPP.
He, Vincent also concluded that the 24-hour economy is viable therefore if John Mahama and the NDC party explain the policy well to Ghanaians, he believes that citizens will vote for them massively.
Bernard Mornah Former Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC) backed John Mahama’s policy and hoped to see its fruit.
Talking about Dr. Bawumia’s “Thank you tour”. Bernard Mornah quizzed why Dr. Bawumia was trashing Mahama’s policy.
He quizzed that if Bawumia is telling Ghanaians that his party is doing what Mahama is saying now then, why is he downplaying the “great” policy his government is already rolling out?
On the show, Edem Agbana explained that the 24-hour economy policy by his party will make sectors active around the clock without a break as it is under the Akufo-Addo-led administration.
Edem also said his party, NDC will make the economy run day and night to enable productivity to increase. The market is ready to consume what will be produced therefore Ghana only has to implement the policy and wait for its success.
Hon. Vincent Ekow Assafuah buttressed Edem’s explanation saying Bawumia brought digitalization which is running 24/7.
Edem made it clear that the digitalization process is incomplete if people have to queue for their passports. With the 24-hour economy plan, people can walk to any of the offices to their passports without challenge among other ministerial assignments.
NDC according to Edem Agbana ought to create more employment with their policy by adding incentives and making Tom, Dick, and Harry benefit from what the government will offer the citizens.
The 24-hour economy is simply an economic strategy that involves putting measures in place to ensure that businesses across various sectors in an economy operate both at night and in the day.
This policy according to NDC will bring more job opportunities, increase productivity, economic growth, and improve services. Also, it will be a global market player, and make life comfortable and convenient.
