I’m not fit as a running mate now, but I’ve my eyes on the ball as a future president – Minority Leader
Hon. Haruna Iddrisu
It is a constitutional mandate for a presidential candidate to designate his or her running mate before filling nomination to contest in a presidential election. About five (5) months left to December 7, 2020 polls, a section of Ghanaians especially some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been mounting pressure on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and their flagbearer H.E John Dramani Mahama to announce a running mate for the upcoming general elections. A situation that got many peeved because the ruling NPP is yet to elect a presidential candidate for the upcoming controversial elections.
Though the NDC is yet to officially announce running mate, there are speculations about some eight (8) key personalities whose have been shortlisted for Vice Presidential position.
