H.E Daniela d’Orlandi, the Italian Ambassador has visited the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh at the Police Headquarters in Accra to familiarize herself with some key stakeholders after assuming office.
In a courtesy call on the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh, H.E. Daniela d’Orlandi has discussed numerous issues including security ahead of the December 2020 Polls. The visit was part of familiarization with her environment since assuming office in Ghana.
At the meeting, they discussed existing partnership between the two countries thus Italy and Ghana and continued support in capacity building for the Police Service.
In their interaction, they used the opportunity to discuss issue of security for the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections. Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Mr. Oppong-Boanuh assured her of his preparedness towards security for all and sundry in Ghana before, during and after the elections.
Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and the Police administration are pleased with the courtesy call of H.E Daniela d’Orlandi and her team, which was witnessed by officials from the Embassy, the Police Administration and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.
