John Dumelo questions Government on plans for Ghanians stranded in Ukraine

Actor and farmer turned Politician John Dumelo has questioned the Government of Ghana on plans being put in place for Ghanaians living in Ukraine.

Following this development, many Ghanians have expressed concern towards many Ghanaians who are living and studying in Ukraine and have been questioning government on plans put in place to rescue Ghanaians in Ukraine.

In a tweet, John Dumelo said “Are there any plans to evacuate Ghanaian students “stuck” in Ukraine?”

However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana has issued a statement in which it advised Ghanaian living in Ukraine to limit their movement.

• Nothing shows there’s even an embassy here nothing is being done about it hhhmm. Things are scary out here me I dey , Ukraine where the b0mbing took place this morning, the sound and vibration of the bomb is nothing I’ve witnessed in my life. Remember us in prayers.
•  All this while I was expecting the government to announce plans to evacuate Ghanaian citizens in Russia and Ukraine but as usually always waiting to react to the news instead of being proactive.
• Everything in Ukraine is in a standstill. Not even the US or any other powerful country yet has announced evacuation of it’s citizens so to think of this for Ghana at this critical times now is wierd off. Its a great question though but I just don’t want to think it’s politically.
• Any country where the USA 🇺🇸, UK 🇬🇧 and Germany 🇩🇪 are asking their citizens to leave is not somewhere you want to be. The students on their own should have plan to Leave. It must not always be about the Government
