John Wesley Methodist Basic School wins 2023 GSTEP Challenge
John Wesley Methodist Basic School has won the 2023 Ghana Science and Technology, Explorer Prize (GSTEP) Challenge.
Applauding their remarkable win, the Director-General of Ghana Education Service (GES), Dr. Eric Nkansah has congratulated the winning school of the 2023 GSTEP Challenge and the other schools that partake in the challenge.

The students performance of the students in the challenge is apt. He also congratulated all facilitators particularly the STEM Coordinators led by the Director in charge of Science Education, Director Olivia Opare due to her active participation in this programme.

Congratulations to the Global Engineers Technology (G.E.T) Group Team from the John Wesley Methodist Basic School JHS, Greater Accra Region for winning the 2023 Ghana Science and Technology, Explorer Prize (GSTEP) Challenge. I was impressed when I engaged these basic school students who designed an anti-sleep device for curbing road accidents.
Congratulations to the AquaSentry Team from the Services Primary and JHS, La Dade-Kotopon Municipal, and the Light Bearers Team for emerging as the first and second runners-up respectively.

Special congratulations to the following:
1. Madam Louisa Amanor the New Juaben South STEM Coordinator, for winning the Footprint Awards, an award given to the STEM Coordinator whose district had the most representation in the programme.
2. Godfred Amoako, from Independence M/A JHS ‘B’ for winning the Outstanding Teacher Award, an award given to a teacher who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to ensuring the success of his/her team.
3. Benedicta Antwi-Boasiako from the Suame Municipal District for emerging as the Outstanding Mentor for her Overall Engagement
To all schools and facilitators particularly our STEM Coordinators led by the Director in charge of Science Education, Director Olivia Opare for actively participating in this programme, I say Ayekoo!
