Information minister, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has spoken for the first time of rumours that he will be contesting for the flagbearership of the New Patriotic Party.

There have been reports suggesting list of persons who have shown interest in leading the ruling New Patriotic Party into the 2024 general elections as President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo ends his tenure with some of lists tipping Hon Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.

Speaking on the issue for the first time, the Information minister stated that he is currently not interested in the flagbearership race if the party.

According to him, he is a village Member of Parliament from Ofoase-Ayirebi and he is part of them and that he wants his ministerial position which he occupies.
