Lead singer of Morgan Heritage, Peter Morgan passed away at age 46

The lead singer and multiple award-winning singer, Peter (Peetah) Morgan of the popular Reggae band, Morgan Heritage has passed away at the age of 46

The sad news was broken by his family in a statement via the band’s official page saying the multiple award-winning singer had his last breath on Sunday, February 25, 2023. The family as of now has not disclosed the cause of his death.

The statement further described him as a husband, father, son, and brother.

“We ask for your continued prayers as we go through this process. We also ask that you also respect our privacy during this time of healing,” read the statement in part.

Peter, well known as Peetah, formed Morgan Heritage with his siblings in 1994, and the band won a Grammy for best reggae album in 2016 for “Strictly Roots.”
