Lipstick-A-Thon: Ghanaian nurse attempts to break “Most Lipstick Applications In 30 Seconds” record

Dela Gomey, a Ghanaian nurse and markup artist has attempted to break the “Most Lipstick Applications in 30 seconds”.

The lipstick marathon took place today, 6th January 2024 at Efa Guest House, Dodowa at exactly noon.

The current record holder, Li Jiaqi is Chinese. He applied 4 in 30 seconds in Shanghai, China on 6th September 2018.

Dela Gomey is set to break the 5-year-old record set by the Chinese. He is poised to attempt breaking the Guinness World Record for the Most Lipstick Applications on models within a 30-second time frame. He promised to work on 6 models within the set time frame.

Below are the record definitions and rules for his Guinness World Records engagement.

RULES FOR MOST LIPSTICK APPLICATIONS IN 30 SECONDS

1. Each model can only have lipstick applied once each during the attempt.
2. Non-modified, commercially available lipstick tubes must be used for this attempt. The lipstick shade(s) chosen must be dark enough to see a difference between a nude lip and one with applied lipstick on it.
3. The participant must use a different lipstick tube for each model. The product may be the same, but a new tube must be used for each model.
4. Models can be holding their own lipsticks to be handed to the participant, or they can be given to the participant by an assistant. The lipstick tubes may already be open when handed to the participant.
5. After applying lipstick to one model, the participant must drop/discard the lipstick tube before being handed a new one.
6. Models can be any gender.
7. All models must start the attempt with clean, bare lips (i.e. no lipstick on the start of the attempt) the lips prior to the start of the attempt).
8. The lipstick must be applied evenly and fully cover the lower and upper lips. The colour must be within the lip lines.
9. If the lipstick is applied beyond the lines of the lips onto the skin then that application must be deducted from the total.
10. Sufficient video footage must be provided to confirm that the above guidelines were followed. After having lipstick applied, the models should stand to one side while still on camera until the end of the record attempt. They should then one-by-one show their lips to the camera.

MOST LIPSTICK APPLICATIONS IN 30 SECONDS RECORD DEFINITION

1. This record is for the most lipstick applications to models in 30 seconds.
2. This record is to be attempted by an individual.
3. This record is measured by the number of people with lipstick applied to their lips by the individual within 30 seconds.
4. For the purposes of this record, ‘lipstick’ is defined as a cosmetic product applied to the lips in order to alter the colour.
