List of 7 Senior High Schools in Ashanti Region whose heads were interdicted by GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued directives to seven Senior High School (SHS) headmasters in the Ashanti Region, asking them to step aside from their positions.
This action comes in response to allegations that these headmasters have been collecting unauthorized fees from students placed in their respective schools.
In separate letters addressed to the headteachers, the GES outlined the reasons for their removal.
The GES letter, dated December 8, 2023, stated that the management had become aware of the collection of unauthorized fees as part of the admission process.
The unauthorized fees listed in the letter included payments for items such as sewn anniversary cloth, house dues, books, calculators, and anniversary cloth sales.
The affected senior high schools are
- Kumasi Girls SHS
- Asanteman SHS
- Kumasi SHS
- Manso Adubia SHS
- Agric Nzema Community
- Nkawie Senior High School (Technical)
- Collins Senior High School.
Consequently, the GES directed the headmasters to immediately hand over their duties.
Referring to the code of conduct, the GES emphasized that the headmasters must step aside to allow for an investigation.
Also, they were instructed to surrender all school properties to the Regional Director of Education, effective from December 8, 2023.
