One platform that embraces this vision is the STEMNNOVATION contest for senior high schools in Ghana, which not only fosters innovation but also provides students with an opportunity to showcase their potential in addressing real-world challenges.

The STEMNNOVATION contest, organized by the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), aims to promote STEM education in Ghana. NEIP has taken a commendable step in supporting and funding this initiative, ensuring that the top 10 winners of the competition receive financial backing to commercialize their STEM projects.

Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, the CEO of NEIP, not only pledges financial support but recognizes the importance of comprehensive assistance for the winners. This support includes training, capacity building, mentorship, and access to markets—a holistic approach that is crucial for nurturing the aspiring innovators and entrepreneurs of tomorrow.

The STEM project competition commenced with a zonal road show in the Greater Accra Region, where 14 schools participated. The event, held at Accra Academy SHS, showcased the enthusiasm and potential of the young participants.

These schools demonstrated exceptional creativity in finding solutions to challenges faced by their communities and the nation at large, spanning various fields such as agriculture, energy, and water.
