Lucas Tolentino Coelho de Lima, also known as Lucas Paquetá, is a Brazilian professional football player who competes for both the Brazil national team and Premier League club West Ham United as an attacking midfielder.
Lucas has played for the Brazil national team in two World Cups and one Copa América, winning the latter for them in 2019. He started his professional career in 2007 with CR Flamengo, who won the 2016 Copa So Paulo de Jniores championship. He has participated in games for other groups, including West Ham United F.C., Lyon FC, and AC Milan.
At the age of 10, Lucas Paquetá moved to Flamengo in 2007. Although he was barely 5 feet tall, he was very technically adept by the age of 15, but lacked the physicality of other players his age. But at the age of 18, he was 10.6 inches (27 cm) taller. He won the 2016 Copa So Paulo de Jniores, the most significant youth competition in Brazil, with the Flamengo young team. Right after the competition, Lucas was promoted to the club’s professional team together with other outstanding players Léo Duarte, Felipe Vizeu, and Ronaldo.
Paquetá signed a contract extension with Flamengo’s professional team in March 2016, making his debut in Rio de Janeiro State League. He scored his first professional goal in February 2017.
