Ghanaian professional Footballer, Abdul Majeed Waris has made the move of joining a top flight club in Cyprus this football season. Before this move, Majeed played as a striker for the RC Strasbourg Alsace club, a Ligue 1 team in France.
Abdul Majeed is a 30 year old professional Football player who currently plays as a forward for the Ghana National team, the Black stars and is having a great football career so far. He has played for clubs like Spartak Moscow and Valenciennes, among others.
Majeed is joining the Anorthosis Famagusta F.C, a first Division club in the republic of Cyprus on a 2 year contract deal. Anorthosis Famagusta F.C is a renowned football club in Cyprus and is 13 times the champions of the Cypriot League.
According to reports, Waris rejected a deal with FC Nantes which is also a Ligue 1 club in France and signed for the Cypriot club.
The contract signed by Waris with the Anorthosis Famagusta F.C is set to begin this year, 2022 and end in 2024.
