The upcoming 2023 Certificate II Examination for technical students, organized by the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), is set to witness a significant participation of more than 30,000 candidates. The examination is scheduled to take place from 10th July to 4th August.

Among the candidates, there are over 20,000 male and 8,000 female students who will undergo testing under a novel system known as test serialisation. This system involves the creation of multiple versions of the same set of questions, with different placements on the question papers.

During a recent press briefing, Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah, the Director General of the Commission, highlighted the implementation of eight different versions of the examination for this year. He expressed hope that in the future, the number of versions would increase to as many as 24.

“Our aim is to introduce a wider variety of exam versions, potentially reaching 24 versions in the coming years. In such a scenario, classrooms consisting of both 24 and eight learners would have distinct sets of examination papers,” explained Dr. Asamoah.

He further emphasized the importance of dedicated learning efforts by instructors, learners, and educational institutions. The Director General encouraged everyone involved to strive for competence in the classroom, considering the advancements made earlier this year.
