NDC announces meeting to consider presidential candidate’s running mate nomination

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that it has received an official communication from its Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama, regarding the selection of his Running Mate per Article 45 of the NDC Constitution.

In a press release dated February 27, 2024, signed by the General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the party stated that it is pleased to inform the public about the upcoming meeting of the Council of Elders.

Per the release, the meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 11:00 hrs. Its purpose is to deliberate on this crucial matter. Following this, the National Executive Committee will convene at 14:00 hrs on the same day to further discuss the nomination.

The NDC expressed confidence that the chosen Running Mate will bring extensive experience, expertise, and dedication to their campaign. The selection is expected to complement the vision of their esteemed leader, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, as they strive together to “Build the Ghana We Want.”

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has today received a formal communication from our Presidential Candidate, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, regarding the nomination of his Running Mate in accordance with Article 45 of the NDC Constitution.

In response to this communication, the party is pleased to announce that a meeting of the Council of Elders will convene at 11:00 hrs on Thursday, March 07, 2024, to deliberate on this significant matter. Subsequently, the National Executive Committee will gather at 14:00 hrs on the same day to further consider the nomination.
