NDC remains committed to the provision of globally competitive and relevant education – Mahama

The Leader and Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. John Dramani Mahama says, the NDC remains committed to the provision of globally competitive and relevant education in the country.

According to the former president, the tract records of the National Democratic Congress in the education sector is far ahead of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He noted that, “this is why we will provide more infrastructure and motivate our teachers to make the Free SHS better.”

Mr. Mahama also disclosed that, the next NDC Government will absorb 50% of fees for all tertiary students for the next academic year due to the negative impact of the novel Coronavirus pandemic as a way of relieving some burden on Ghanaian tertiary students.

In a statement intercepted by Coverghana.com.gh, John Dramani Mahama who is biding for his second coming as president of Ghana, says NDC’s next administration will complete the conversion of all polytechnics into Technical Universities and ensure that public universities maintain their autonomy by repealing the Public Universities Bill should this government go ahead to enact it.
